We at St. Owen strive to be an open, welcoming and caring Catholic community of believers who are called to share, celebrate, renew and grow in our faith, love of God, and one another. We embrace Jesus by living out his teachings, values, and examples, and put our faith into action through service, tithing and outreach to others.

WEEKLY WORDS OF WISDOM:

·         The purpose of all prayer is to find God’s will and that that our prayer. If we don’t take time for God in prayer--to wait on him-- we’ll be overwhelmed by endless details of our days. Eventually, we can lose site of the reason for our existence and start to live each day simply as a reaction to the situation we find ourselves in. When we finally meet our master, we will be totally unprepared for his coming, unready and unable to receive his blessing.

(L. Evely, on Lk. 12:35-38)
